Our brother, Jerome “Norman” Decker’s funeral was arranged by the Bronson Guthlein Funeral Home. Norman was an active member of the American Legion Joyce Kilmer post in Milltown. When I contacted the Commander, Ron Dixon, he suggested that we contact Bronson funeral home because of the special care they provide to Servicemen (women) and to First Responders. The coffin the funeral home provided us at no charge was beautiful and embellished with American flags. They contacted the American Legion who came to the wake and provided a service dedicated to Norman that was heartfelt and respectful. Bronson also arranged for two Servicemen who met us at graveside, played taps, and folded the flag that they presented to us.
Chris made the funeral arrangements seem effortless. John and Chris were considerate of our wishes and provided professional care and support.

I am so thankful I crossed paths with John McNamara and Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home. My father passed and being his only living relative, I had to take care of everything myself. There were no pre arrangements or funds to help me with this, so I had to raise money to cover the funeral expenses. Another funeral home I was in touch with basically told me they couldn’t do it for any less and I reached out to John. He was so helpful and worked with us to make it happen. Through a recommendation of an out-of-state funeral director, we found John McNamara and Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home. From the initial phone conversation, I knew that John would take care of the needs of my family as we coped with the loss of a 7 week old baby. John was incredibly compassionate and anticipated the needs of the family, walking us through the decisions that were needed, but taking away any of the burden that he could. His compassionate care of the family led to other family members saying that they wanted him to handle their own funerals. We are a multi-cultural family and John went above and beyond to ensure that all faiths were accommodated. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and compassion we received by John and Bronson and Guthlein.

The people who work here treat your family with kindness and have a gentle helping way about them. During a time of need, they made it easy.
