Susan Claire (Dzielak) Seiler died unexpectedly at her home in Washington, D.C. at the age of 61. She would have celebrated her 62nd birthday on Jan.19, 2022.
Born in New Brunswick, N.J., Susan grew up in Milltown. She was a graduate of St. Peter's High School and Rutgers College in New Brunswick, earning a B.A. in English with high honors. Susan's career included positions as a Professional Recruiter and Events Coordinator.
Susan had many skills and interests including art, photography, writing, reading the New Yorker magazine, playing the saxophone (she once took the stage with Jigs & the Pigs at the Melody Bar in New Brunswick), and listening to all kinds of music, especially opera. She touched all who knew her with her zest for life, her infectious sense of humor, her kindness, and her generous acts of caring for others.
Predeceased by her parents, Edward and June Dzielak of Milltown, she is survived by sisters Kathleen Dzielak of Milltown and Mary Ellen Garrigue of Richmond, Va., and their respective spouses, Chris Jordan and Andy Garrigue. She was predeceased by a niece, Lindsay Pollack. Survivors include her nieces Ren Bell and Madeleine (Mrs. Stephen) Blunt and great-nephew Edward Bell, all of Richmond, her former husband, Andy Seiler of Washington, D.C., and their Boston Terrier, Lucky; her uncle, Stanley Dzielak of Monroe Township, several cousins and the many friends and supporters she made over the years.
Final arrangements are by Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home in Milltown. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Monroe. Services will be announced at a future date.
