Raymond Conover, Jr.

Raymond Conover, Jr. of Milltown, NJ passed away May 13, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Born in Keyport, NJ, he was lifelong resident of Milltown.  Ray honorably served his nation as a member of the US Army and his community as a dedicated member of the Milltown Fire Department for over 37 years.  He was employed as an electrician by Dupont for 40 years.  Ray was a member of St. Paul’s Church and served as Secretary for 70 years.  He was a huge car enthusiast and member of both The Old Timers and The Survivors Car Clubs.  Ray is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years Patricia (née Burgeson), daughter Karen Conover Shutt, son and daughter-in-law Jeffrey and Deborah Conover, grandchildren: Daniel, Jessica, Melissa, Caroline, and Jodie, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.  Friends and family will be received Friday 4-8pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown.  The graveside service will be celebrated Saturday at Westminster Cemetery, Cranbury, NJ.  Memorial donation may be made to the Milltown Fire Department 39 Washington Ave, Milltown, NJ 08850
