Philip Dacko Obituary


Philip W. Dacko of Highland Park, NJ passed away peacefully with his son and daughter by his side on January 26, 2020. He was 88 years old. Philip was born in Brooklyn, NY.  He was a graduate of Brooklyn Technical High School and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University.  He lived in East Brunswick most of his life, and his last year was spent at Parker at Stonegate in Highland Park, NJ. He honorably served his country as a Private First Class in the US Army in Korea between the years of 1952 and 1953. Philip was employed by Johnson & Johnson in North Brunswick, NJ, as a mechanical engineer. He retired from J&J in 1993. He enjoyed sailing, flying, traveling, tending to his garden, good food, and good company. His children became cruising and aviation enthusiasts because of the passions they shared as a family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Rita, Philip is survived by his loving children, Lori Dacko (Lawrence Hayes) of East Brunswick, NJ and Jason (Tracy) Dacko of Hillsborough, NJ. He is also survived by two grandsons, Joshua Fahey of South Carolina, and Christopher Dacko of Hillsborough, NJ, and two brothers. Family and friends will be received Thursday 4-8pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ. Final disposition is private.
