Paul Kvartek of Edison, NJ passed away on July 19, 2021 at his home. He was 94 years old. Born and raised in Briar Hill, PA, Paul was resided in Edison since 1950. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Army during the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle RC Church of Edison. He was employed as an inspector for over 30 years by Delco Remy. Paul was an athlete and enjoyed playing tennis and skiing. His true passion, however, was polka dancing and he was a member of various groups of dancers throughout his life. Paul was a wonderful and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews and loved taking them on ski trips and to the ice cream shop.
Predeceased by brother Emery Kvartek and sister Ludmila Petrus, Paul is survived by his brother Andrew Kvartek, brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Judy Kvartek, sister and brother-in-law Susan and Nick Savola, sister Marta Knight, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Paul’s family would like to recognize Jan Macko for the indispensable care he provided for Paul over the last seven years.
Family and friends will be received Thursday 9:30am – 10:30am at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ. The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, 11:00am at St. Matthew the Apostle Church followed by burial at Holy Cross Burial Park, Jamesburg, NJ.
