Marci passed away peacefully after a year of battling various
health conditions. She was 89. Born and raised in Queens, NY, she
went on to Graduate from NYU. Marci pursued a career in
Manhattan first as a secretary for a law firm and then as a
secretary for The Population Council. She retired early to care for
her aging mother. Marci then moved to Manhattan, where she
became “Marci the Activist.” She volunteered her time for such
causes as Amnesty International, Peace Action and Public Citizen.
She also regularly volunteered at a local soup kitchen.
Marci is survived by her son, Ethan Sarch and his wife Pamela of
Milltown, her step-granddaughters Aimee Francisco and her
husband JC, of Lawrence twp, and Ashley Wang and her husband
Cliff of Kendall Park. Her great-grandchildren, Cagney, Teagyn,
and Raegyn Francisco; and LilyKate Wang, whom she adored.
Marci looked forward to spending time with the pugs, Callie, Lucy
and Otis. Arrangements are private under the direction of the Bronson
and McNamara Memorial Home.
