Lillian “Ginger” Zdep of East Brunswick, NJ passed away on November 20, 2022 at RWJ Medical Center, New Brunswick, NJ. She was 77 years old. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Lillian was a graduate of St. Peter High School. She moved to East Brunswick in 1965 and resided there until her passing. Lillian was employed for many years as a telephone operator for NJ Bell, New Brunswick and North Brunswick. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Milltown, NJ and a member of the East Brunswick Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary. Lillian was an avid mahjong player, vegetable and flower gardener, antique collector, and, most importantly, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Lillian Szebenyi, Lillian is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years Ronald Zdep; daughter Barbara Zdep-Mattocks and her partner David Kovacs, son Joseph Zdep, and daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Eric Fedor. She is also survived by grandchildren Leah, Ian, Anthony, and Emily; great-grandchildren James, Harper, Oliver, and Leo; and many loving cousins and extended family.
Family and friends will be received Thursday 2:00pm - 6:00pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ. The funeral mass will be celebrated Friday 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Milltown followed by burial at St. Peters Cemetery, New Brunswick.
