Leah Harto Obituary

Leah “Mitzie” Harto of Milltown, NJ died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.  Leah was born in Troy, NY and grew up in Glens Falls, NY.  She moved to Milltown in 1958 and worked for J&J for many years before retiring in 1986.  Leah was an avid reader, loved jazz music, and enjoyed vacations in Chincoteague with family.  She was a kind and generous person always willing to help her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father Craig Goering and mother Adele Goering (nee McDaniel).  Leah is survived by her husband of 68 years Eugene Harto of Milltown, son and daughter-in-law Eugene and Barbara Harto of Pennsylvania, daughter and son-in-law Diane Harto and Jim Statlander of Virginia, and son and daughter-in-law David and Angela Harto of East Brunswick, 7 grandchildren Joey, Genny, Laura, Jason, Leah, Kate and Dan and 11 great grandchildren. 

She will be greatly missed and remembered by her family for her great sense of humor, her laughter and storytelling.
