Joann "JoJo" Giacolona

Joann Marie Giacolona of Highland Park, NJ passed away Friday, September 3, 2021. She was 37 years old.

Joann, fondly known by many as Joannie, JoJo and Auntie Jo Jo, spent her formative years as a resident of Milltown, NJ. She is remembered by all who knew her as having a heart of gold. Her smile could light up a room, and her kindness and positive attitude made a difference in the lives of her family and friends. She was extremely selfless and compassionate, and would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Her passion and dedication for helping others led her to receiving her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Middlesex County College in 2011. Most of all, she loved being a mother and spending any free time she had with her nieces and nephew.

Joann is predeceased by mother, Tammy Giacolona, and leaves behind beloved daughter, Ava Grace, Fiancé Joseph Eulo, father Thomas Giacolona, sisters Kimberly & husband James Dixon, Danielle Giacolona and significant other Kyle Kiernan & Angela and husband Sean McManimon, nephew James, nieces Kendall, Emma & Payton, devoted family friend Deborah Celis, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.

Family and Friends will gather Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, at Brunson & Guthlein Funeral Home, 152 N Main St, Milltown, NJ 08850. Food and refreshments will be provided by the family, following services from 5 to 8 pm.
