Henryk Daun

Henryk Daun of North Brunswick, NJ passed away peacefully on January 1, 2022. He was 89 years old. Henryk grew up in Poland, where he enjoyed participating in Harcerstwo Polskie and obtained his Sc.D. degree in the technical sciences from Politechnika Gdanska. He later immigrated to the United States and worked at Rutgers University for many years as a Professor of Food Science.

Henryk was a devoted and loving father who enjoyed to spending time with his family. He also enjoyed traveling, photography, technology, and nature. He greatly valued his experiences and relationships with colleagues and students. He was a kind and caring person who would go out of his way to help others.

Henryk was predeceased by his parents Alfred Daun and Halina Daun, as well as his brother, Fredzio Daun. He is survived by his wife Alicja Daun and his son Andrew Daun.

He will be greatly missed and remembered by his family for his unconditional love, selflessness and positivity.

Friends will be received Sunday 6:00-8:00pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ.  The funeral service will be celebrated Monday, 10:00am at the funeral home followed by burial at Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.
