Francis Posluszny, Jr. Obituary

Francis Thomas Posluszny, 76, passed away on July 7, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, he resided most of his life in South Brunswick, New Jersey. He was a Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Army 4th Infantry Division as a combat engineer from 1965 to 1967. He had recently moved into the Menlo Park Veterans Memorial Home in Edison, New Jersey.

Frank was a kind, generous and loving man. He worked for many years in sales and also drove for Lyft. He enjoyed driving, listening to music, and talking to people from all walks of life. He had a good sense of humor and loved sharing stories with people. He was a lover of all kinds of music, especially Doo Wop, and even wrote some of his own songs.

Frank enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his granddaughter, Amelia, daughter, Tracey, and son-in-law, Chad. He also loved his cats—Tigerlily and Midnight, as well as the previously deceased cat, Velvet.

Frank was an avid New York Mets and New York Giants fan and loved trains. One of his fondest memories was riding the New Hope Railroad Christmas Train with Amelia, Tracey and Chad. He was a devout Catholic and went to Marist High School in Bayonne, New Jersey and served as an altar boy at Saint Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Jersey City.

Frank will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his loving daughter, Tracey Ann McNeil, and son-in-law, Chad Edward McNeil, granddaughter, Amelia Rae McNeil, his sister, Theresa Kryda, former wife, Ann Posluszny, and close family friend, Barbara Zavorski. He is predeceased by his mother, Wilhelmina Posluszny, and brother, John Posluszny.
