Bernard "Bernie" James Chunta, Jr.

Bernard James Chunta was born in Milltown, NJ in 1957 and died in New Brunswick, NJ in 2023 at age 66.

Bernard is survived by his loving family, including: His wife, Lorraine Chunta; his daughters, Nicole Chunta and Alicia Chunta; and his sisters, Ruthann Isaac and Debbie Armenti. 

Bernard was a loving and dedicated husband and father. He was an all star football, baseball, and basketball player in his youth. He loved to coach his children’s sports leagues, go to the beach with his family, go fishing, watch football games, and spend time with his wife. He was married to his wife for 41 years and loved her more than words could express. Bernard also loved spending time with his dog, Bella.

Bernard worked as a manufacturing coding operator.  He was adored by everyone at work and in his community in both Milltown and South Brunswick. He loved socializing with those in his community and was a mentor to all those around him. 

Bernard will be deeply missed by his family, friends, neighbors, and all who knew him.

The viewing will take place on Saturday (9/16/23) at 10:00 AM- 12:30 PM at Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Homes (Milltown, NJ). The Mass will take place after, at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Lourdes (Milltown , NJ).
