Barbara J. (Carlen) Kampf

Barbara J. Kampf of Spotswood, NJ passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at home. She was 75 years old. Born in New York, Barbara moved to New Jersey as a young girl and has been a lifelong resident of Spotswood. She worked as a stay at home mom when her children were young and then worked as a Teacher’s Assistant at Pixie Preschool for 35 years. She was a member of the Spotswood Reformed Church and had served on the Women’s Club. She also gave her time volunteering for church events like the Annual Rummage Sale and Bazaar. Barbara was selfless and loved taking care of everyone she cared about. Most of all relished spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, crafting, going to see plays, out to dinners with friends, and visiting Mickey in Disney World.
Barbara is predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, David Kampf, Sr.; parents, Thurston and Joyce Carlen; and brother Douglas Carlen. She is survived by a son David Kampf Jr., of Spotswood, NJ; and a daughter Tina Conover of North Carolina. Barbara was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren, Denton and Brooke Kampf; and Tyler, Cody and Peyton Conover. Barbara is also survived by a brother & sister-in-law, Terry & Ellen Carlen; and a sister Susan Eberle; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday 4-8 PM at the Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ. The Funeral Service will be offered Thursday 10 AM at the Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home followed by Interment, at Brookside Memorial Park, Spotswood, NJ.
