Barbara A. Broxmeyer of North Plainfield, NJ passed away on December 31, 2021. She was 77 years old. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she was a resident of Milltown, NJ for 50 years before relocating to North Plainfield. Barbara worked at her family’s business and longtime staple of the Milltown community, Ryder’s Lane Farm Market, before retiring. Barbara was a lifetime member and Past President and All American President of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Edison, NJ. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Unit 65 of Metuchen, NJ.
Predeceased by her mother Frances Golden, father John L. Golden, Sr., brother John L. Golden, Jr., and sister Christina Harned; Barbara is survived by her husband of 57 years Fredrick Broxmeyer (formerly of Milltown); six children: daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Gary Gronroos of Metuchen, NJ; son and daughter-in-law Joseph and Jennifer Broxmeyer of Rialto, CA; son Fredrick J. Broxmeyer, Jr. of Piscataway, NJ; son and daughter-in-law Richard and Carmella Broxmeyer; daughter Frances Broxmeyer of Piscataway, NJ; daughter Deborah Broxmeyer and her boyfriend Adel of North Plainfield, NJ; grandchildren Amanda, Anthony, Rebecca, Nicholas, Benjamin, Daniel, and Ashley; great-grandchildren Erin, Iris, Ethan, and Chloe; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Wednesday 12:00pm – 2:00pm and 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ. The funeral service will be celebrated Thursday 10:30am at the funeral home followed by burial at Oaklawn Cemetery, South Brunswick, NJ.
