Audrey A. (Bauerfield) Breece, 90, passed away peacefully on November 3rd at Parker of Landing Lane, New Brunswick, NJ.
Audrey was a longtime resident of Milltown having moved to Milltown from North Brunswick when she was a teenager. It was there she met and then married the love of her life, John V. Breece and together Milltown was where they chose to purchase their home and raise their family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, John V. Breece Sr.; her daughter, Karen Henninger; her parents, Frank and Lillian Bauerfield; and her granddaughter, Kaitlyn Henninger. She was the last surviving of her siblings having been predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy Bauerfield, Ruth Anderson, Augusta Salzmann, Francis Johnson and her brother, Frank Bauerfield Jr.
After raising her young children, she went back to school and fulfilled her long-time desire to become a nurse. She worked as an LPN at Middlesex General Hospital (now RWJ Barnabas) on the general floors before becoming an ICU nurse.
Together with her beloved husband and their family she enjoyed many years of camping in their travel trailer before purchasing a summer home on the Chesapeake Bay on the Eastern Shores of Virginia which they enjoyed for many years. It was what they referred to as "their little piece of Heaven here on earth".
Audrey is survived by her daughter, Brenda Rademacher of Milltown, NJ; her son, John V. Breece Jr. and his wife, Debbie of Southport, NC. She is survived by 9 grandchildren, Shawn Whitlock Sr. and his wife, Stacy; Mark Whitlock and his wife, Ewa; John C. Breece and his wife, Brenna; Kristyn Breece-Scofield; Matthew Breece and his wife, Krissy; Megan Rademacher; Kimberly Clapp and her husband, Nic; John Rademacher; and Kyle Henninger and his wife, Kirra. Also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, Shawn Jr., Cassandra, Marissa, Madison, Colin, Logan Whitlock, Makaila, Logan Breece and Mia as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family is not always by blood but sometimes by heart and that is how Audrey felt about her "niece" Maryann Skaritka and her family so it would be remiss not to mention them as survivors as well.
As we mourn the loss of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend may we all hold her close in our hearts, cherish all our wonderful memories of her and may she rest in peace.
A private viewing for family was held before cremation. Burial will held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Milltown Rescue Squad in Audrey name.
