Stephen M. Peti, of Cranbury, NJ, passed away on Sunday, 9/16/18, at his home with his loving wife, Ann Marie (nee' Darrah) by his side. Stephen was 70 years old. Stephen was born in New Brunswick, NJ, and raised in Edison, NJ. A graduate of Edison High School 1967, and Middlesex County College 1970, Stephen continued attending College at Concord University, Athens, West Virginia, until entering, and serving the US Marine Corpsduring the Vietnam era. He moved to Cranbury, in 1981, with his wife of 40+ years, Ann Marie. Stephen was a 30+ year member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 9, Englishtown, NJ before retiring in August 2000. He was a communicant of the Magyar Reformed Church, New Brunswick, NJ, and a life member of Lieutenant John Frankopf American Legion Post 401, Monmouth Junction, NJ. Stephen was an avid sportsmen, with his passion for trout fishing, salt water fishing, horse racing, skeet, camping and swimming. He was a die hard football sports fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, attending homes games at Veterans Stadium, Philadelphia, PA for many years; and, after the 1980 season, happily attended Super Bowl XV, New Orleans, LA, to cheer on his Eagles. Equally, Stephen was also a die hard Major League Baseball fan for his favorite baseball teams, Philadelphia Phillys and Los Angeles Dodgers. An, although passing before himself, Stephen dearly loved his dog son, Bailey.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Ann Marie (nee' Darrah), and brothers-in-law, Francis William (Bill) Darrah and wife Margaret, of Lincoln, NE, Patrick (Pat) Darrah and wife Laura, of Edison, NJ, along with many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Stephen was predeceased by his parents Michael and Irene Peti, and brother-in-law John (Jack) Darrah, formerly of Whiting & Cranbury, NJ, and a sister-in-law. Antoinette (Toni) (nee' Darrah) Selesky of Tampa, FL. Stephen will surely, and deeply, be missed by his family and many friends.

Family and Friends will be received 4-9 pm. from Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home, 152 N. Main Street, Milltown, NJ 08850. A committal service for Stephen, along with Military Honors, will be held at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, North Hanover Township, Burlington County, NJ. Final disposition is private. In lieu of flowers, please make in Honor Donations to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation, 269 Hanover Street, Bldg 3, Hanover, MA 02339, or send an In Memoriam Donation in memory of Stephen to either the Parkinson Foundation, or Lewes Body Dementia Association, Inc., 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Liburn, GA 30047.
