Stella Gatarz

 Stella Gatarz (nee Fischer), 87, entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2017 at the Bridgeway Care Center.

A lifelong resident of E. Brunswick, Stella attended local schools and graduated from So. River H.S.

She worked briefly as a secretary before marrying Stanley Gatarz and working alongside him in the 

family business Laughing Boy Farms. Together they raised four children. She was a member of

St. Bartholomew RC Church in EB and the Holy Rosary Society where she leaves many long-time friends.

Stella was predeceased by her parents Lena and Robert Fischer; her husband Stanley; sons Arthur

and Raymond; daughter-in-law Joann; brothers Robert, Lawrence and Frank Fischer; sisters Frances

Edly and Helen Scott. Surviving are daughter Teri Gatarz and son Gregory Gatarz of E. Brunswick; 

grandson Ryan Gatarz of Old Bridge; sister-in-law Theresa Sweeney; friends since childhood Connie Applegate and

Dolores Doktorski ;  and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.  The family extends a special 'Thank You' to

the compassionate staff of Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsborough, NJ.

The family will welcome friends Thursday 4-7pm at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ.

Funeral mass Friday, 9:30am at St. Bartholomews RC Church, East Brunswick followed by interment at

Holy Cross Cemetery.
