Jennie Horvath, a lifetime resident of Highland Park, NJ, died peacefully in her home in Princeton, NJ on Friday, November 9, 2018. (one week from her 104th birthday) Jennie was born on November 16, 1914, in Worcester, MA to Nicholas & Panagiota Triandafilou, both Greek immigrants. She was one of seven children.
Jennie was very proud to be hired as an executive secretary for Johnson & Johnson after high school, as that was looked upon as a very prestigious position. She married Michael Horvath Sr. on November 28, 1941. Together they had two sons, Michael Jr. (1946) and James (1952). Jennie was an avid tennis player and enthusiast. Her greatest achievement though and center of her life was her family. She has four granddaughters, Kimberly, Tracy, Shannon & Danielle, from her son Michael and his wife Sharon.
Jennie is predeceased by her husband Michael Horvath Sr. (2001) and her sons Michael Jr. (2018) and James (1969). She is survived by her daughter in law Sharon Horvath of North Brunswick, grandchildren Kimberly Ehrhardt and her husband Michael, Tracy Horvath, Shannon Garrity and her husband William, all of Lawrenceville, NJ
and Danielle Horvath of North Brunswick, NJ. Family and friends will be received Friday 9-10am at the Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ. The funeral service will be offered 11am at St. Georges Greek Orthodox Church, Piscataway, NJ followed by interment at Franklin Memorial Park.
