Evelyn DeAngelis Layton

Evelyn DeAngelis Layton of Milltown, NJ passed away with her loving family at her side on September 16, 2018 at the Gardens at Monroe. She was 89 years old. Born in Englewood, NJ, she resided in Somerset, NJ for over 20 years before settling in Milltown for the past 38 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of New Brunswick, NJ. Evelyn loved flea markets and garage sales, was an avid reader, enjoyed travel with her beloved husband, and cherished her time spent with family. Predeceased by her sister Dorothea Jones, Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Blaine Layton; daughter and son-in-law Donna and John Baird of Freehold, NJ; son and daughter-in-law Paul and Kathy DeAngelis of Milltown; daughter and son-in-law Claudia and Mike Carron of Somerset, NJ; grandchildren: Scott, Sharon, Susan, Paul III, and Craig; seven great-grandchildren; her identical twin sister Eleanor Scheck; and many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services and final disposition will be private under the direction of the Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown.
