Doris L. (Tyluki) Dametz

Doris L. Dametz of East Brunswick, NJ passed away at home surrounded by her loving family May 2, 2018 after a long illness.  She was 80 years old.  Born in Red Bank, NJ and one of nine children, she married and relocated to East Brunswick where she’s been a resident for 62 years.  She was employed by AT&T as a supervisor until her retirement to raise her beloved children.  Doris’ love of children extended beyond her family as she helped raise over 30 children as a warm and caring babysitter.  She had an interest in gardening and ceramics and enjoyed swimming.  Predeceased by her beloved husband of 26 years Paul James Dametz in 1981 and son Paul Louis Dametz, Doris is survived by her son Joe Dametz and daughter and son-in-law Lori and Dan Driscoll, granddaughter Maggie Driscoll, and many loving nieces and nephews.  Doris’ family will welcome friends Monday 6-9pm at the Bronson & Guthlein Funeral Home of Milltown, NJ.  The funeral mass will be held Tuesday 9:30am at St. Bartholomew RC Church followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, East Brunswick. The family kindly requests memorial donations be made to Komen of Central/South Jersey, 2 Princess Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
