Christina Golden Harned "Aunt Cookie"

Christina Harned of Piscataway passed away on 8/30/19 at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Plainfield New Jersey. She lived in Edison then moving to South River and moved to Piscataway 35 years ago . She graduated from South River high school in 1974 . She worked for AT&T for 43 years before retiring in 2017 . She was a lifetime member of the ladies auxiliary VFW post 3117 . She was all American president five times for the ladies auxiliary. With one year having a perfect score . She belong to the Vietnam veterans association post 226 of Metuchen . she dedicated her life to the veterans. She is predeceased by her husband Kenneth Harned Jr , her mother Frances Golden, her brother John L Golden Jr, she is survived by her sister Barbara Broxmeyer and her husband Frederick of North Plainfield New Jersey . Her niece Theresa Gronroos and her husband Gary of Metuchen , Nj her nephew Joseph Broxmeyer and his wife Jennifer Ratiho California , her nephew Frederick Broxmeyer Jr Of Piscataway , her nephew Richard Broxmeyer and his wife Carmela of North Plainfield, her niece Frances Broxmeyer of Piscataway, her niece Deborah Broxmeyer of North Plainfield , her nephew Anthony Reichardt of Colonia. 
Her great niece Amanda Reichardt of Piscataway , her great nephew Anthony Reichardt of Metuchen, her great nephew Benjamin Broxmeyer , Daniel Broxmeyer , of Ratiho California  
Her great niece Rebecca , Great nephew Nicholas. Her lifelong friend Maryann and Joe Flannery of Edison , Her lifelong childhood friend Eileen Pastner of East Brunswick her Dog and best friend Smokey. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Edison VFW 3117 53 National Rd., Edison, NJ 08817 viewing Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8pm. 
The funeral service will be celebrated Thursday 11am at the funeral home. Repast to follow.
