Arthur Diem, Sr. Obituary

Arthur Diem of South River, NJ passed away on November 8, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson surrounded by his children. He was 80 years old.

Art served as US Navy morse code operator on the USS Corey DD/DDR 817.

Art was a NASCAR fan who enjoyed many a Sunday watching the race with his best friend Tom. He enjoyed gardening, sitting out on his patio watching the birds, Wednesday lunches with his brother Don and nephew Don Jr., and having a shot and a beer with his sister-in-law Linda on holidays.

Vacations and times spent with his family are what Art cherished most. Whether it was fishing with his sons and grandsons on Lake Wallenpaupack every summer, or visiting his granddaughters in Texas sitting enjoying a dinner at T-Bone Tom's, Art was most happy when he was with his family.

Predeceased by his loving wife, the late Mary Diem, Arthur is beloved Father to Arthur Jr. ( Julie Ann),                  Andrew( Christina Marie),and Cheryl Moore ( Sean). Cherished Grandfather to Madeleine and Courtney Moore and Arthur III and Daniel Diem.

In lieu of flowers, the family would  appreciate any dontations be made to the Milltown Rescue squad, where Arthur formerly served as a paramedic.
